The main branch of the Shanghai Yangpu District Library is located at No 366 Changhai Road. It was renovated and expanded from the old Shanghai Library, which was originally built and opened in 1936. It is listed as a municipal-level cultural heritage site and an outstanding historic building in Shanghai. It features a special section called the "Modern Municipal Literature Library."
