Putuo district enhances business environment, fosters innovation and growth
Shanghai's Putuo district has long viewed its business environment as a key driver of regional competitiveness, turning it into a powerful driver of growth and development.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, over 500 reform measures have been introduced, with the reform action plan upgraded to the eighth version, focusing on optimizing the business environment by providing policy support and facilitated services.
By continuously improving the business environment, Putuo aims to attract outstanding enterprises and help them grow. It has taken the lead in building a law-based and transparent government in the city.
Li Ronghua, deputy director of Putuo district, highlighted the district's focus on "optimizing ecosystem, building platforms, and enhancing services" to drive industrial innovation and upgrading. The digital advertising industry, for instance, has gained attention for its innovation and clustering effect, establishing the city's first digital advertising park and hosting the Shanghai International Advertising Festival.
In addition, Putuo leverages resources from the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt to further optimize its business environment and promote industrial innovation and collaboration. Wu Xinhua, chairman of the Putuo district development and reform commission, emphasized the district's role in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, enhancing the flow of key production factors like technology, finance, talent, and data.
Looking ahead, Wu said, Putuo will focus on improving enterprise services to create a top-tier business environment with optimal policies, low costs, and excellent services, enabling enterprises and talents to thrive along the innovation belt.
