Xuhui deepens ties with foreign enterprises at summer night gathering
Shanghai's Xuhui district gathered nearly 100 representatives from local foreign-invested enterprises at Gate M West Bund Dream Center on Aug 30 for an innovative industrial gathering, where ideas flowed against the backdrop of a relaxed summer night.
Co-hosted by the Xuhui Association of Foreign-Invested Enterprises and the district commission of commerce, the event featured government-enterprise dialogues, corporate case sharing, and open discussions designed to foster networking and strengthen Xuhui's business environment.
The choice of Gate M West Bund Dream Center, a landmark of Shanghai's nightlife, allowed participants to experience the vibrancy of the local night economy while envisioning their role as future contributors.
A senior executive from Mondelez International's Greater China Headquarters described Xuhui as a pivotal hub for the company's operations and management in China, praising the local government for its prompt and attentive support.
An Amazon executive noted that Xuhui's industrial layout in areas such as artificial intelligence and the digital economy closely aligns with the company’s development strategy, and commended the district's practical and targeted policy measures.
With a unique appeal, Xuhui is now the home to more than 3,400 foreign-funded enterprises, accounting for 17 percent of all businesses in the district.
Positioning itself as the "best partner" for foreign-invested enterprises, Xuhui aims to further expand its headquarters economy, deepen high-level opening-up, and continue refining its business environment.
