Spanning a vast expanse of two million square meters, Shanghai Expo Culture Park stands as the largest green space along the Huangpu riverside. This massive park comprises seven distinctly themed zones, including the Expo Garden, the Twin Hills, the Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Center, the Shanghai Opera House, and the Greenhouse Garden. The man-made Twin Hills, towering at 48 and 37 meters respectively, are poised to become striking scenic attractions once fully opened to the public. The Greenhouse Garden, repurposed from the former factory of Shanghai's No 3 Iron and Steel Plant, spans approximately 40,000 sq m and features five glass structures.
While the park's northern section has been welcoming visitors since 2021, the remaining areas, such as the Twin Hills, are slated to open to the public by the end of this year. A notable highlight is the Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Center, which is on track to become the Chinese mainland's first permanent professional venue to meet the stringent standards of five-star international equestrian competitions. Meanwhile, the Shanghai Opera House, boasting three auditoriums, features a striking spiral staircase reminiscent of an unfolding Chinese fan.
