3 locations for global new product debuts in Hongkou

Three locations in Shanghai's Hongkou district have recently been selected as part of the city's list of 25 venues for global new product debuts. The three locations are the Grand Halls, the North Bund International Passenger Center, and the 1933 Old Millfun.

To date, Hongkou has welcomed more than 30 inaugural stores, either the first on the Chinese mainland or the first in Shanghai, this year.

Additionally, it has hosted over 20 new product launches involving brands, including Bose, Lincoln, as well as the online marketplace Tmall.

Located at No 8 North Bund Road in the heart of the North Bund, the Grand Halls occupies the historical site of the century-old Yangtze River Wharf.

Situated at the confluence of the Huangpu and Suzhou rivers, the Grand Halls harmoniously blends with the iconic landmarks of the Bund and Lujiazui.

Completed in 2021, the Grand Halls features three main buildings spanning a floorage of 99,000 square meters.

The design allows for interconnected access among the three buildings, catering to a wide range of large conferences with diverse spatial and functional requirements. Alternatively, each building or floor can operate independently, offering flexibility to host high-end smaller conferences, as well as banquets of various scales and types.

Moreover, the Grand Halls boasts expansive observation decks overlooking the Huangpu River, providing panoramic views of both shores. To the west, guests can admire the majestic skyline of the Bund, while to the east, the glittering skyline of Lujiazui dazzles. The North Bund International Passenger Center

Situated at No 500 East Daming Road, the North Bund International Passenger Center boasts a waterfront terminal stretching 1,200 meters along the shoreline, with a depth of 25-30m.

Nestled alongside the Bund’s iconic architectural clusters and offering panoramic views of the modern Lujiazui skyline across the river, it serves as an ideal venue for an array of commercial activities.

Embracing the ethos of "life above landscape", the center utilizes its outdoor waterfront terminal and underground "Rainbow Space" to host commercial events, thereby establishing itself as a chic and contemporary landmark.

Located at No 611 Liyang Road in Hongkou district, the 1933 Old Millfun sprawls across a total area of 32,000 sq m. It stands as a distinguished historical landmark in Shanghai, being among the first batch of creative industry hubs in the city and serving as a national exemplar for industrial tourism.

This multifaceted venue offers a variety of activities ranging from product launches, theatrical performances, and escape rooms to conferences, training sessions, banquets, weddings, creative team-building exercises, shopping, dining, and office spaces.

The 1933 Old Millfun embraces the unique architectural style of Brasilia, rendering it a singular landmark in Shanghai. Within its labyrinthine confines, visitors will find meticulously designed and distinctively styled venues spanning from 100 to 1,500 sq m.
