Blending fashion and coffee culture, leather goods brand Coach has opened its first-ever coffee shop in China.

Located in Shanghai's Huangpu district, known for its high density of cafes, the Coach Coffee Shop has found its home in the New World Daimaru department store on the bustling Nanjing Road.

The cafe, which is integrated into the retail space, offers a New York-inspired atmosphere that promises a special experience for visitors.

With nearly 30 menu items ranging from classic coffee drinks to Shanghai-exclusive flavors, prices range from 20 to 78 yuan ($2.76-$10.78).

The standouts include trendy kombucha and a New York-style cinnamon latte, as well as innovative pastries such as the "kuffin" – a croissant-muffin hybrid.

In addition to beverages, the shop showcases exclusive Coach-branded merchandise featuring the brand's iconic Jo character. Outdoor seating allows customers to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Nanjing Road while sipping their coffee.

Liliana Lucioni, president of Coach China, was optimistic about the new venture, seeing it as an innovative step in brand localization and a contribution to Shanghai's status as an international consumer hub.

The cafe's launch has already proven successful, with sales soaring to the top nationwide during its opening weekend.

The initiative is said to represent Coach's strategy of combining "affordable luxury" with casual dining to enhance the shopping experience and attract younger consumers.
