Experience Balian Group's autumn shopping season in Shanghai

As the Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season transitions to autumn, big State-owned enterprise the Balian Group – which mainly operates department stores and supermarkets – has launched its golden autumn shopping season, which opened on Sept 1 and runs to Nov 11.

Organizers of the event promise a raft of exciting product launches, flagship store openings, and preparations for the group's display at the upcoming 7th China International Import Expo being staged in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.

Among this season's highlights is the national debut of Japanese group SK-II's new LXP luxury skincare series at the Shanghai No 1 Department Store and Estée Lauder's latest lips product at the Shanghai No 1 Yohan Shopping Center, both owned by Bailian Group.

Outdoor enthusiasts are expected to be keen to learn that renowned brands Klättermusen and Burton will open new stores at the Bailian Outlets Plaza in the Qingpu district, featuring exclusive collections.

For fans of subculture, Bailian ZX – short for the Bailian ZX Creative Centre, located on the iconic Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street – will unveil fresh releases from beloved anime and manga series such as Haikyu!! and Cardcaptor Sakura.

Additionally, contemporary artist Zhu Peihong will debut his solo exhibition, Mix Space, at the Baiwork art gallery, which is also run by Bailian Group.

The season will culminate in a spectacular lights ceremony and fashion show at the newly renovated Shanghai No 1 Yohan Shopping Center, coinciding with the Shanghai International Light Festival.

To top it off, Bailian's much-anticipated display stand, the bálancing, will make its debut at CIIE – blending art and commerce in a dynamic display.
