Shanghai's popular Xintiandi area, located on Middle Huaihai Road in Huangpu district, continues to solidify its reputation as a premier destination for high-end retail and international flagship stores.

The latest addition to its lineup is Hoka, the globally acclaimed high-performance footwear and apparel brand, which will soon unveil its global flagship store in the area. Renowned for its bold designs and innovative approach, Hoka has garnered a devoted following worldwide.

The opening of the Hoka flagship store is the result of close collaboration between the brand and local authorities. When regulatory challenges arose, the Middle Huaihai Road subdistrict coordinated a meeting with multiple government departments to resolve the issues swiftly and efficiently.

"Xintiandi has always been our preferred location. The collaborative efforts and supportive business environment gave us the confidence to proceed," said a Hoka representative.

As Shanghai's first demonstration zone for global product debuts, Huangpu district continues to enhance its support for the debut economy. The district offers a comprehensive suite of services, including policy guidance, store setup assistance, financial services, and legal support. These efforts have helped iconic brands like Ellassay and Anna Sui establish flagship stores in the area.

Beyond retail, Xintiandi is a hub for cultural and sports activities, hosting events like basketball tournaments and community markets that create a mix of sports, commerce, lifestyle, and entertainment. Upcoming urban renewal projects, including the second phase of the K11 Art Mall, are set to further elevate the area's global standing.

"We aim to create a dynamic, globally influential commercial hub that integrates retail, culture, and community," said Kang Yongli, deputy secretary of the Middle Huaihai Road subdistrict Party committee.
