Giolitti, the famous Italian gelato ice cream and coffee shop founded in 1900, has opened its first store in the Chinese mainland, in Shanghai.

Known for its appearance in the classic film Roman Holiday, Giolitti previously had only one location in Asia — in Tokyo, Japan.

The new store is located in Fengshengli, a business and cultural landmark in Jing'an — offering authentic Italian handmade gelato, pizza and other delicacies.

Giolitti's product team and star chefs are overseeing the operations in China to ensure high quality and to regularly introduce new menu items.
