Spanish luxury fashion brand Loewe unveiled its largest concept store in Asia on Feb 18 — the Casa Loewe Shanghai store — at the Jing An Kerry Centre, located on West Nanjing Road in Shanghai's Jing'an district.

Occupying some 695 square meters, the store offers an extensive selection of products, including men's and women's ready-to-wear collections, handbags, small leather goods and accessories.

Also on offer: Eyewear, footwear, jewelry, scarves, shawls, as well as exclusive items and home fragrances.

The Casa Loewe store is also showing a curated collection of art and home decor, blending the feel of a private art collection with a luxurious retail space.

The display features everything from antique Spanish ceramics to modern design pieces, reflecting the brand's strong connection to craftsmanship, art and sculpture.

Notable highlights include ceramics by two British artists. There is John Ward's four-piece set, which balances soft hues with dynamic tension between movement and stillness. Mo Jupp's collection of 13 personal works, plus one collaborative piece, explore dreamy, symbolic imagery.

Soon, two new art pieces will join the collection: Takayuki Sakiyama's Chōtō: Listening to the Waves — a large ceramic sculpture that received a special mention at the LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize 2021 — and Dahye Jong's spherical installation made from horsehair and stainless steel, which was featured at Loewe's exhibition at Milan Design Week 2024.

Inside the store, the walls are adorned with striking artworks, including ink and acrylic pieces by American artist Ken Price, large-scale paintings by Indian artist Mahesh Baliga and works by Scottish artist Merlin James.

Additional pieces include etchings by Paul Thek and mixed-media paintings by Uri Aran. An oak Tudor table by British architect Edwin T. Hall completes the store's serene and sophisticated ambience.
