Kokuyo — a Japanese company offering a wide range of products and services in stationery, furniture, architecture, and interior design — recently announced the reopening of its newly upgraded flagship store at No 1 West Beijing Road in Shanghai's Fengxian district.

According to the May 15 announcement, the store features a showroom for its C³Office — a multifunctional space designed to show how you can reshape your relationship between work and life, promoting a vibrant and upbeat urban lifestyle.

At the heart of the showroom's first floor is the "Confession Tower" — a striking installation built from Kokuyo's own colorful notebooks. Visitors are encouraged to write messages there and leave their thoughts inside the tower.

"Kokuyo entered the Chinese market in 2003 and gradually expanded its presence nationwide, with Shanghai as its hub," said Takeshi Okui, chairman of Kokuyo Furniture China.

"In 2012, we built our own paper products factory in Fengxian. Thanks to the strong support from the district, we've been able to grow with confidence and we're committed to deepening our roots here," he added.

The C³Office showroom marks the first collaboration between Kokuyo's stationery and furniture divisions in China, showcasing an imaginative new approach to future office design.

While the first floor of the showroom captures moments from everyday life, the second floor is said to offer a reimagined office experience.

Guided by Kokuyo's "7 Experiences" ecosystem, the space is divided into seven zones representing different work modes.

The company says it blends Kokuyo's insights into workspace mobility with refined aesthetics and ergonomic design — allowing visitors to explore, interact with and purchase featured products on-site.
