Chinese toymaker Pop Mart opened the first brick-and-mortar store of its independent jewelry brand — popop — on June 13 at the Grand Gateway 66 shopping mall in Shanghai's Xuhui district.

By the afternoon of June 16, a steady line of eager shoppers had already formed outside the newly launched store.

According to staff members, the popop outlet began trial operations on May 30 with a stable flow of visitors, which has significantly increased since the official opening.

To ensure a high-quality shopping experience, the store employs a one-on-one service model, limiting entry to no more than 20 customers at a time.

The interior is styled in popop's signature color palette, accented with four-leaf clover motifs and soft lighting to create a cozy, minimalist atmosphere.

Jewelry pieces feature some of Pop Mart's most beloved characters — including Hirono, Molly and Skull Panda — with offerings such as necklaces, bracelets and rings.

Prices range from 319 yuan to 2,699 yuan (about $44–$376), using materials like silver, gold, pearls and agate. Designs are thoughtful and creative — some pieces can open or feature a vintage finish, reflecting each character's story.

Among the most sought-after items is the Labubu silver pendant, priced at 459 yuan, which supports custom DIY combinations with cords or pearls. Staff members, however, confirmed that it has already sold out.

The store also offers a Shanghai-exclusive "Twinkle Twinkle" collection, inspired by starlit skies, featuring three 925 silver and gold-plated pieces available only at the location.
