JoJo's Bizarre Adventure pop-up takes over Shanghai
The nationwide debut of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure pop-up event has arrived at Jing'an Joy City, a popular shopping destination in Shanghai's Jing'an district. Running through Sept 27, the immersive showcase offers a thrilling summer experience for fans of the iconic manga and anime series.
Created by Hirohiko Araki, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has become a cultural phenomenon in Japan, with over 100 million copies sold. The themed pop-up is divided into two chapters, each celebrating different arcs from the iconic magna and anime series:
- Part 1 (Aug 2 to 27) features the early storylines: Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders, and Diamond Is Unbreakable.
- Part 2 (Aug 29 to Sept 27) shifts focus to the high-stakes action of Golden Wind and Stone Ocean.
A major highlight is the debut of 10 exclusive illustrations featuring fan-favorite characters, on display only at this event.
Nearly 400 limited-edition merchandise items are available, ranging from badges and acrylic stands to lifestyle goods such as bucket hats, blankets, tote bags, and floor mats.
Shoppers can participate in tiered giveaways that include exclusive bookmarks, sticker sets, lenticular cards, and more. Fans who join interactive activities may unlock additional gifts.
