Tumi opens 1st China flagship store on West Nanjing Road
Tumi, a leading brand in travel essentials and accessories, has opened its first flagship store in China at the iconic Shanghai Centre, marking a major retail milestone for the West Nanjing Road shopping area.
More than just a retail outlet, the new flagship is designed as an immersive experience space. Visitors can explore interactive zones and creative displays that showcase the brand's craftsmanship, innovation, and travel spirit.
To celebrate Shanghai's cultural richness, the store features a special fan customization corner with an oriental flair. A highlight is the Shanghai-exclusive hot-stamped pattern combining the city's English name with a minimalist outline of the Oriental Pearl Tower, symbolizing the city's inclusive spirit. Guests can also enjoy creative popsicles shaped like local landmarks, adding a fun and refreshing touch to the summer season.
Several hands-on zones invite customers to explore Tumi's cutting-edge materials and design philosophy. Highlights include The Journey, an art installation by contemporary artist Twenty-One, and a material wall where visitors can learn about Tumi's innovative technologies and commitment to durability.
The store's layout emphasizes a sleek and elevated aesthetic, with scene-based product displays showcasing the brand's full range of men's, women's, and travel collections.
Since Aug 2, the store has been hosting limited-time public events, including the release of five NFC-enabled collectible cards featuring brand ambassadors. Visitors can also customize their own luggage tags in-store, creating unique travel mementos.
