China's major travel agency Trip.com recently introduced a half-day tour service aiming to give transit passengers a glimpse into Shanghai's allure.
This initiative provides free half-day tour packages to international travelers passing through the city, including free transportation and guided tours in various foreign languages and services like foreign currency exchange and free internet access.
During their brief stay, transit passengers are treated to an exploration of Shanghai's renowned landmarks, including the historic French Concession and the captivating night vistas along the Huangpu River.
Since the service was launched on April 15, many international travelers have seized the opportunity to partake in the tour, with around 80 percent of participants hailing from Europe and 20 percent from Southeast Asia.
To register for the tour, travelers can select a suitable itinerary based on their transit schedule at Pudong International Airport. Upon arrival, they can locate the Trip.com foreign currency exchange counter located at A Island on the 3rd floor of Terminal 2 in proximity to Gate 21 of the departure hall.
To ensure top-notch touring experiences, each route is limited to ten participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. Professional foreign language guides are on hand to facilitate registration at the designated meeting point, accompany travelers on their Shanghai tour, and ensure their safe return to Pudong International Airport after the tour.
