Two Shanghai railway stations announce name changes

Two train stations located in Shanghai's Songjiang district will adopt new names starting May 22, according to the WeChat account of Shanghai Railway on May 8.
Songjiang South Station of the Shanghai-Kunshan High-speed Railway will be renamed Shanghai Songjiang Station, with the Songjiang Station of the Shanghai-Kunshan Railway renamed Songjiang North Station.
The two train stations will sell tickets up to May 21, with tickets for the following dates unavailable for sale at this time.
Starting May 22, the pre-sale window for tickets for the two train stations will be restored to 15 days.
Shanghai Songjiang Station is located in Shanghai’s Songjiang region, north of the former Songjiang South Station. The new station has an area of 60,000 square meters with a maximum capacity of 5,000 people. It has nine platforms and 23 tracks.
