Asia's biggest golf practice facility debuts in Shanghai

The Huangxing Sports Park, located in Shanghai's Yangpu district, has been reinvented into a comprehensive sports and leisure complex after four years of renovation and an investment of nearly 200 million yuan ($27.4 million).
While preserving its original green ecological features, this revamped urban space has seamlessly integrated high-end golf sports, fitness services, and trendy lifestyle offerings through hardware upgrades, the adoption of new business models, and technological empowerment.
The park's central attraction — the Playgolf Club — spans 80,000 square meters, making it the largest golf practice facility in Asia. It boasts 240 bays equipped with fully automated driving machines, 1,400 meters of real grass greens for putting and chipping, and 14 real grass practice bays.
An interactive lighting system has been implemented, featuring 13 illuminated putting greens for night training sessions. To enhance operational efficiency, an online mini-program allows for self-service booking, bay activation, food ordering, and more.
Furthermore, the renovated sports park also features a basketball gym with Canadian maple wood floor and other professional facilities, as well as fitness and swimming areas with a dynamic spinning bike space, a private therapy and rehabilitation room, and a parent-child shower room.
The inflatable sports dome, which consists of 14 badminton courts and four basketball courts, will also be renovated in the future, according to the operators.
