Passport holders from China and Samoa will enjoy visa-free travel to each other's countries starting April 2, according to a statement issued by the Department of Consular Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry on March 12.

The agreement permits travelers holding ordinary, diplomatic, service or public affairs passports from China, as well as holders of diplomatic, official and ordinary passports from Samoa to enter, exit or transit through each other's territories without a visa. Travelers can stay for up to 30 days per visit, with a maximum cumulative stay of 90 days within an 180-day period.

For stays exceeding the time limits or for purposes such as work, study, residency, or journalism, travelers are required to apply for the appropriate visa in advance.
