Xisha Pearl Lake becomes Shanghai's first pet-friendly 5A tourist attraction

Xisha Pearl Lake Scenic Area in Chongming district has become Shanghai's first 5A-rated pet-friendly tourist attraction. Visitors are now welcome to explore this ecological oasis in the company of their furry friends.
Things you need to know:
- Pets are permitted during regular operating hours.
- Dogs must be non-aggressive and weigh no more than 15 kilograms.
Safety precautions
- All dogs must be leashed (leash no longer than two meters) and muzzled at all times.
- Dogs must have valid licenses and up-to-date vaccinations administered at least two weeks prior to entry and within the past year.
- Pets are strictly prohibited from entering ecological conservation zones, children's areas, and indoor facilities.

Keep it clean: Owners are required to promptly clean up after their dogs to help keep the park clean.
Other things to remember
- A liability waiver must be signed prior to entry. Owners must supervise their pets at all times and assume full responsibility for injuries or disputes caused by their animals.
- Visitors bringing pets into the Pearl Lake Park should enter through No 333 Sanhua Road, and into Xisha National Wetland Park through No 588 Buhu Road. A fee of 30 yuan ($4) will be charged.

For everyone's enjoyment, please keep your pets from barking, chasing wildlife, or bothering other guests.
