Feishu China launches intl research season to promote global scientific cooperation
Ahead of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, which runs from July 17 to 20, Feishu China launched an international research season in Shanghai's Putuo district focused on fundamental research, AI for Science, international young talent cultivation, and global scientific collaboration.
As part of the program, more than 100 students from universities including the Technical University of Munich, the University of Toronto, Fudan University, and Nanjing University participated in a July 9 dialogue with Fields Medalist Wu Baozhu and other internationally renowned mathematicians. The discussions covered the role of mathematics and the abilities required in the AI era, among other topics.
Feishu International has also launched its summer research program, selecting nearly 30 students from China and overseas to conduct collaborative research in mathematics, AI, and AI for Science under the guidance of international mentors.
The institute is expanding its global research network through new partnerships, including establishing a research station in Spain and launching the "Research in Pairs" program to promote effective international collaboration among small research teams.
Feishu China will again co-host the AI × Mathematics forum at this year's WAIC, themed "Resonance Summit: AI × Mathematics and the Next Paradigm Shift", where scholars could explore how advances in mathematics and AI can drive scientific discovery and technological innovation.
According to the institute, the initiative aims to strengthen Putuo's role as an international hub for basic research, talent exchange, and global scientific cooperation.
