The xiaolong mantou, or steamed meat bun is a famous native food of Shanghai. This popular snack is commonly called by its Mandarin name xiaolongbao.
Famous for its thin skin and sumptuous soup-filled stuffing, the art of making xiaolongbao was listed as a municipal intangible cultural heritage item in April 2007.
