New openings bring fresh energy to Xuhui this autumn
Xuhui's newest openings are infusing the district with fresh energy. This autumn, La Maison de Famille Longchamp debuted on Wukang Road, while Black Tree Thai Tea opened at the Gate M West Bund Dream Center, adding new dimensions of lifestyle, culture, and gastronomy to the area. From fashion and design to food, tea, and casual dining, Xuhui offers an inviting backdrop for an inspiring urban stroll.
La Maison de Famille Longchamp Opens in Shanghai
La Maison de Famille Longchamp opened in the Hengshan Road-Fuxing Road Historical and Cultural Block on Oct 28.
In French, "Maison" refers both to a brand's home and the idea of a family home. At the Wukang Road location, this concept comes to life as an immersive, lived-in environment that resembles the townhouse of a French friend than a traditional retail space.
The two-story structure, housed within a protected heritage building, features an interior that blends scenes of living, dining, reading, and leisure. The first floor includes a living room, dining room, and cafe, while the second floor accommodates a game room, library, and walk-in closet. A garden extends the experience outdoors, adding the warmth and intimacy of a private residence.
Each room reflects the personalities and heritage of members of the Longchamp family. The living room, inspired by CEO Jean Cassegrain, grandson of the brand's founder, acts as a refined "cabinet of curiosities", echoing the family's spirit of exploration.
Throughout the house, decor elements combine domestic comfort with quintessential French aesthetics: herringbone flooring reminiscent of Parisian Haussmann apartments, a blue sofa by Pierre Paulin, artwork by Genevieve Claisse, Gien tableware from the Loire Valley, and a cafe menu offering French sandwiches and madeleines. French comics such as Asterix and The Smurfs, along with traditional games, further weave everyday French culture into the space.

M Stand Opens First Shanghai Burger Concept
M Stand has opened its first culinary concept store on Changle Road. Stepping beyond its established identity as a coffee brand, the new location introduces a food-centered format featuring handmade burgers. The menu includes the South Korean Fried Chicken Burger, the Pepper-and-Egg Burger, and the "Shanghai Burger", which incorporates the familiar local-style fried pork cutlet. Sides such as fries, chicken bites, and signature fried wings allow guests to enjoy a complete meal alongside their coffee.

Black Tree Thai Tea Opens First Shanghai Location
Black Tree Thai Tea opened its first Shanghai store at the Gate M West Bund Dream Center on Oct 31. Rooted in Thai tea culture, the brand combines Thai tea leaves with contemporary beverage techniques, focusing on signature Thai milk teas and traditional tea flavors. Its offerings are built around a commitment to richness, using three naturally full-bodied ingredients, Thai tea, cocoa, and coffee, to develop three product lines: Thai tea, cocoa, and gelato.
Among them, the signature "400-Time Lava Thai Tea" blends the sweetness of Thai milk tea with the bitterness of coffee and the smoothness of a cheese–buttermilk topping, resulting in a dense, layered, and distinctive texture.
