For fitness fans living in Jing'an district, the Jing'an Sports and Fitness Center stands out as a must-see place. It's got everything you could possibly need for your workouts, with lots of different sports facilities to choose from.

Located in the heart of Shanghai, the Jing'an District Sports and Fitness Center has been a cornerstone of community wellness since its establishment.

The center boasts various facilities, including a natatorium situated on top of the building, 25 meters above the ground.

The center also provides a wide range of sports and leisure programs like badminton, table tennis, karate, sports climbing, dancing and yoga.

Location: No 151 Kangding Road

Transportation: Metro Line 2, West Nanjing Road Station, Exit 1, or Metro Line 1, 12, 13, Hanzhong Road Station, Exit 7, walk about 1.2 kilometers.

Located on the sixth floor of the east side of the center, the natatorium has a large and a small swimming pool, measuring 50m*25m and 25m*10m, respectively.

Sept 1 to June 30 next year: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7 am-10 am; Monday to Friday 3:30 pm-9 pm; Saturday and Sunday 1 pm-9 pm

July 1 to Aug 31: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7 am-10 am; Monday to Friday 1:30 pm-9 pm; Saturday and Sunday 10 am-9 pm

2. Badminton

Located on the first floor of the east side of the center, it has four badminton courts with professional wooden flooring.

Open: Monday to Sunday 7 am-9 pm

3. Table Tennis

Located on the second floor of the east side of the Jing'an Sports and Fitness Center, the table tennis club is headed by Cao Yanhua, a four-time world table tennis champion.

Open: Monday to Sunday 9 am-9 pm

4. Yoga and dance

Situated on the seventh floor of the east wing of the center, this facility provides a diverse range of classes including jazz dance, Latin dance, yoga, Chinese dance, street dance, ballet, belly dance, folk dance and Pilates apparatus.

Open: Monday to Friday 11 am-9:30 pm; Saturday and Sunday 9 am-9:30 pm

5. Karate

Situated on the fourth floor of the west section of the center, it offers martial arts programs, including Kyokushin Karate (a Japanese-origin karate style), Pekiti-Tirsia Kali and kickboxing.

Open: 12:30 pm-9:30 pm from Tuesday to Friday; 12 pm-8 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Closed on Mondays.

6. Kegis Bar and Sports

Situated on the third floor of the center's west wing, this area features baseball batting cages, American football, basketball, softball, mini-bowling, table tennis, pinball, virtual golf and more.

Open: Monday to Friday 11 am-2 am; Saturday and Sunday 9 am-2 am

7. Gym Poet

Located on the first floor of the southeast side of the center (No 420 Jiangning Road), the Gym Poet offers a wide range of fitness classes and equipment.

Open: Monday to Saturday 10 am-10 pm; Sunday 10 am-7 pm

8. Climbing

Located on the first floor of the southeast side of the center (No 420 Jiangning Road), Climbism is a professional gym for climbing.

Open: Monday to Friday 12 pm-10 pm; weekends and public holidays 10 am-9 pm

1.Butterfly Bay Park

After a day of sporting adventure, unwind at Butterfly Bay Park and marvel at the dreamlike ambiance created by intelligent lighting and water animations.

2. Former dormitories of Shanghai Yutong Flour Mill

Originally serving as dormitories for the Shanghai Yutong Flour Mill, this historic building now hosts the first Blue Bottle coffee outlet on the Chinese mainland.

Location: No 908 Chang'an Road, Jing'an district

Transportation: Metro Line 1, 12, 13, Hanzhong Road Station Exit 1, walk about 950 meters.

Open: Blue Bottle coffee (Yutong branch) is open from Monday to Sunday 8 am-7 pm.

3.MOHO Mall

MOHO Mall's design harmonizes old and new, highlighted by a captivating clock tower facade that radiates retro allure, distinguishing it in West Nanjing Road's lanes. Jiangning Road, where the MOHO Mall is located, has a history stretching back 120 years, combining Shanghai's Shikumen and new alleyway architectural styles.
