FedEx inaugurates new China headquarters in Shanghai

FedEx Express officially unveiled its newly upgraded and expanded China headquarters in Shanghai on Jan 17, showcasing the company's unwavering confidence and commitment to the Chinese market.

"We are confident in China's prospects and will continue to enhance our local presence," said Eddy Chan, senior vice-president of FedEx Express and president of FedEx China.

Occupying an expansive space of nearly 2,600 square meters at the heart of Shanghai's West Bund, the office integrates various functions, including strategy development, planning and engineering, operations, marketing and sales, as well as financial management.

Since entering the Chinese market in 1984, FedEx has established 102 branches and over 100 ground stations across the country, with nearly 11,000 employees and approximately 3,000 vehicles. The company operates more than 300 international flights in China per week.

FedEx established its China headquarters in Shanghai in 2004 and currently employs approximately 2,300 team members in the city.
