Shanghai's Pudong New Area revealed its comprehensive 2024 Exhibition Economy High-quality Development Action Plan on May 7. This strategic blueprint outlines the district's pivotal strategies for exhibitions for the year, emphasizing collaborative and exclusive investment promotions, support for top-tier exhibition projects, and the enhancement of synergies among exhibitions, commerce, tourism, culture, and sports.

A key highlight of this initiative is the official launch of the Pudong New Area Exhibition and Investment Promotion Workstation. This platform aims to streamline resource allocation, facilitate information exchange, and deliver robust and specialized support services for participants in exhibitions and investment promotion activities within the Pudong New Area.

Furthermore, Pudong has sealed agreements to host three flagship exhibitions in 2024 — Interclean China, the Shanghai Children's Health and Wellness Fair, and the 7th Smart Supply Chain and Logistics Innovation Asia Pacific Convention and Exhibition. These events are poised to showcase cutting-edge developments and foster collaboration across various industries.

In 2023, Pudong hosted 216 exhibitions spanning an area of 8.465 million square meters. These exhibitions attracted a substantial turnout, with 133,000 exhibitors and an audience of 7.08 million professional viewers.
