Retired canine heroes looking for homes
Seven search and rescue dogs that have recently retired from the Shanghai Fire and Rescue Department are available for adoption, announced the city's fire control brigade on its official WeChat account.
According to the adoption notice issued on June 12, the dogs that are available for adoption range from 5 to 12 years old, and include breeds such as Spaniels, Malinois and Labradors. Reasons for their retirement include long years of service, advanced age, decreased physical abilities, and mobility issues.
Those interested can find photos and more information on each dog via the official WeChat account of the Shanghai Fire and Rescue Department: shsxfj. Information on adopter's eligibility, adoption procedures and required documentation can be found below.
