United Airlines recently announced the introduction of direct flights between East China's Shanghai and Los Angeles, starting Aug 29.

The airline will operate four return flights per week on the much-anticipated route, offering passengers a seamless and convenient travel experience between the two vibrant cities.

The direct Shanghai-LA flights will depart every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with return flights scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Travelers can look forward to riding a Boeing 787-9 plane, renowned for its comfort and efficiency on long-haul journeys.

United Airlines launches flights UA199 and UA198, direct return flights between Shanghai and Los Angeles starting Aug 29.

What's more, the airline has outlined plans to expand the frequency of the direct flights, with expectations to transition to daily flights by late October, catering to the increasing demand.

Starting Oct 26, United Airlines will also increase direct flights between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Los Angeles to two flights per day.
