Jan 16 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with Grenadian Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell.
Gong highlighted Grenada's status as an important partner of China in the Caribbean region. He welcomed the presence of Grenadian business enterprises at the China International Import Expo. Shanghai supports enterprises from both sides to cooperate in agriculture, green low-carbon initiatives, and infrastructure construction, he said.
For his part, Mitchell expressed his hope for cooperation in renewable energy, the blue economy, communication technology, e-commerce, and other areas.
He conveyed optimism about fostering bilateral trade, tourism, and investment by taking advantage of the mutual visa exemption initiative.
