Feb 12 – Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining met with Stéphane de La Faverie, president and CEO of the Estée Lauder Companies Inc, a global leader in prestige beauty.
Chen encouraged the group to launch more new products and brand activities in Shanghai while expanding innovation and R&D efforts aimed at the global market.
Stéphane de La Faverie, who chose Shanghai as the first stop of his inaugural international business visit after assuming his new role as president and CEO, reaffirmed the group's commitment to establishing Shanghai as a crucial strategic hub. He emphasized plans to expand the group’s investment footprint in the city, drive innovation, strengthen research and development, and cultivate top professional talent.
