March 20 – Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining met with Rodolphe Saade, chairman and CEO of French shipping and logistics group CMA CGM Group.

Chen invited the CMA CGM Group to seize opportunities in digitalization, intelligent technologies, and sustainable development by increasing its investment in Shanghai and actively participating in building a green and low-carbon supply chain system.

Saade highlighted Shanghai's role as a key city in the group's global investment strategy. He expressed the group's willingness to increase investment in the city and enhance practical cooperation with Chinese partners in areas such as green and low-carbon transition, green fuel bunkering, and digital technologies.

March 21 – Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining met with Ramon Laguarta, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo.

Chen expressed his hope that PepsiCo will stay ahead of evolving consumer market trends and further expand its presence in Shanghai. He encouraged the company to use Shanghai as a launching pad for the global debut of more stylish, healthy, and high-quality products.

Laguarta said that PepsiCo will deepen cooperation in the fields of green and healthy food, resource recycling, innovative consumer scenarios.

March 18 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with Sean Stein, president of the US-China Business Council, along with senior executives from member companies.

Gong emphasized the council's role as a vital bridge of China-US cooperation. He warmly welcomed the council and its member companies to introduce cutting-edge products, technologies, and services to Shanghai and the Chinese market through the CIIE.

Stein highlighted the increased investment and advanced R&D efforts of member companies in Shanghai. He reaffirmed the council's commitment to facilitating cross-border investment between the two countries and fostering collaboration with Shanghai.

March 18 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with Kei Uruma, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.

Gong invited Mitsubishi Electric to participate in the 8th China International Import Expo, expand its investment in Shanghai, and bring more high-end functions, cutting-edge projects, and premium resources to the city. He encouraged the company to work with local enterprises and research institutions to drive the intelligent transformation of industries.

Uruma expressed the company's dedication to deepening its presence in China. The company is planning to build a fully localized business ecosystem spanning from R&D to production and sales, delivering superior products and services to Chinese consumers.

March 20 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with Sun Chanthol, Cambodian deputy prime minister and first vice-president of the Council for the Development of Cambodia.

Gong emphasized Shanghai's commitment to deepening ties with Cambodia, particularly in trade, investment, and cultural exchanges, to further strengthen the enduring friendship between China and Cambodia.

Sun highlighted the long-standing support among Shanghai enterprises for Cambodia's infrastructure development. He expressed his interest in expanding cooperation in the electronics, automotive, and food processing industries.

March 20 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with Eric Rondolat, CEO and chairman of Dutch multinational lighting company Signify.

Gong welcomed global companies like Signify to leverage the CIIE and expand their investments in Shanghai. He expressed Shanghai's commitment to establishing a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized.

Rondolat praised Shanghai's green development and efficient government services. He reaffirmed the company's dedication to participating in CIIE and strengthening local partnerships.

March 20 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with Alastair King, lord mayor of the City of London. During the meeting, Gong and King signed a new memorandum of understanding to enhance exchanges and cooperation between Shanghai and the City of London.

Gong expressed his hope of enhancing collaboration with the City of London in financial markets, professional financial services, and international financial talent development.

King emphasized the strong collaboration potential between Shanghai and London in finance, shipping, and legal services. He called for cooperation in digital finance, green finance, and offshore renminbi business.

March 21 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with Georges Elhedery, group chief executive of HSBC Holdings.

Gong encouraged HSBC to play a greater role in Shanghai's modern industrial development, leveraging its financial expertise to support industrial transformation and upgrades while enhancing services for both domestic and international clients.

Elhedery highlighted HSBC's historical ties to Shanghai, noting that his visit coincided with the bank's 160th anniversary. He reaffirmed HSBC's commitment to strengthening its China headquarters in Shanghai and exploring new opportunities in the Chinese market.
