The Shanghai Museum, in collaboration with the No 1 fleet of Shanghai Bus No 4 Public Transport Co Ltd, has recently introduced a customized shuttle bus, offering a seamless and efficient connection between the museum and its east branch.

This dedicated bus line, identified as DZ401, provides a direct point-to-point service between the main location of the Shanghai Museum on People's Square and its east branch in the Pudong New Area.

The line operates from Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays, from 11 am to 3 pm. Buses depart from both locations once every hour, ensuring flexibility for visitors. The one-way fare is set at just 4 yuan (55 cents).

To streamline ticketing and boarding, the shuttle primarily uses an online reservation system, supplemented by limited offline ticket sales. Visitors can easily book their tickets through the "Chengchetong" (乘车通) WeChat mini-program.
