According to CCTV News, so far in 2025, there has been increasing interest in visiting China among foreign nationals.

As of March 18, over 930,000 international travelers have entered China through Shanghai's airports, representing a 50 percent year-on-year increase. Of these arrivals, 480,000 utilized visa-free entry policies — a 3.5 times increase compared to the same period last year. This impressive growth is a testament to the effectiveness of China's streamlined entry procedures and sustained appeal as a global destination.
