On July 4, Switzerland-based MSC Cruises, the world's third-largest cruise operator, unveiled six new autumn 2026 itineraries departing from Shanghai aboard its flagship, MSC Bellissima.

Timed to coincide with China's peak travel season in September and October, the new sailings cover the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, giving travelers more options for autumn escapes. Destinations include Okinawa, Kagoshima, Busan, and Jeju Island, several of which allow visa-free entry for Chinese tourists.

Among the highlights is a special repositioning voyage from Shanghai to Tokyo, departing on Oct 4. This journey combines a sea cruise with an extended land travel experience in Japan.

Tickets are now available through official MSC Cruises channels. Early booking incentives are offered for select itineraries reserved before Aug 31, including complimentary fares for children and discounts for accompanying guests.

Since its entry into the Chinese market, MSC Bellissima has completed 37 sailings from its Shanghai homeport, welcoming more than 170,000 guests and becoming one of the most popular cruise options among Chinese travelers.

An MSC Cruises executive noted that MSC Bellissima has earned strong recognition in China for its European elegance, elevated dining, and immersive entertainment. He added that the company remains committed to enhancing the guest experience, upgrading services, and introducing themed voyages and festive events tailored to Chinese tastes.

MSC Bellissima caters to a wide range of travelers. Families can enjoy Lego-themed play areas, the Arizona waterpark, and China's first Lego parade at sea, with onboard childcare services for added convenience.

Adults can unwind with treatments at the MSC Aurea Spa or explore leisure facilities such as the Formula One simulator, bowling alley, and arcade.

For those seeking exclusivity, the MSC Yacht Club offers a private retreat featuring round-the-clock butler service, refined dining, elegant lounges, and a dedicated pool deck.
