2025 China Robot Industry Development Conference launched in Putuo
Co-hosted by the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and Putuo district government, the 2025 China Robot Industry Development Conference kicked off on Nov 11 in Putuo, Shanghai.
As one of the most authoritative annual event in China's robotics industry, the conference has been held 13 times since 2012. It aims to foster an open, collaborative ecosystem for intelligent robotics development. This year's edition outlined a new strategic plan for the industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).
To tackle major challenges in the robotics industry and speed up its shift towards advanced, intelligent, green, and integrated development, the conference released two key documents: a consensus on elevating the quality of the robotics industry and a white paper outlining the humanoid robotics industry ecosystem and future outlook.
Developed under CMIF's guidance, the white paper offers a detailed review of recent advances and emerging trends in technologies, including motors, dexterous hands, and ball screws.
In addition, CMIF partnered with multiple industry platforms to initiate the "robotics application ecosystem co-development initiative".
Five group standards were also released at the event, designed to enhance industry oversight, ensure product safety, regulate company practices, encourage enterprises to improve energy efficiency, and support the widespread use of joint modules.
The event also launched Putuo's high-quality incubator dedicated to embodied intelligence. This facility offers specialized resources, scenario-based support, and full-cycle growth services to accelerate breakthroughs in embodied intelligence.
