Robot valley forges alliances to fuel robotics innovation
Zhangjiang Robot Valley highlighted its expanding industrial ecosystem and global partnerships at the Zhangjiang Robot Valley Ecosystem Forum and DroidUp Global Partner Conference on Dec 13, held as part of the Global Developer Pioneers Summit 2025.
The forum featured the launch of the DroidUp Ecosystem Accelerator, a collaborative initiative between DroidUp and partners including Choho and Jingwen Culture and Creative.
The accelerator is set to utilize Zhangjiang Robot Valley’s seven functional platforms to support partners in core component research and development, commercialization, and collaborative scenario deployment.
“Zhangjiang has consistently adopted a forward-looking approach, actively seizing opportunities to build Zhangjiang Robot Valley as a specialized industrial park,” said Wang Lei, deputy general manager of Zhangjiang Group.
According to Wang Tao, deputy general manager of Shanghai Zhangjiang Intelligent Robot Co Ltd, the valley has already attracted about 100 companies, covering 60 percent of the robotics industry chain. The area is rapidly forming a complete intelligent robot ecosystem, integrating leading enterprises and functional platforms.
Key companies already operating in the valley include AgiBot, Fourier, Kepler, and DroidUp, alongside ABB’s global robotics R&D, production, and application base.
DroidUp, which specializes in biomimetic tendon technology, has formed partnerships with firms such as JD.com, Huawei Ascend, Choho, Jingwen Culture and Creative, ZTE, Anbang Save-Guard, and Shanghai Taijing Group.
“From 2025 to 2027, DroidUp will focus on the business-to-business service market, deploying a full robotics software and hardware industry chain, with plans to implement solutions in scenarios including cultural tourism performances, security patrols, and scientific research education,” said Li Qingdu, founder of DroidUp.
During a technology and scenario sharing session, several embodied intelligence enterprises presented collaborative innovations. Germany-based XRBT introduced its 3D PAD electrode technology, while Leaderdrive from Suzhou highlighted its precision reducer advances.
A panel discussion underscored that high-quality development in the embodied intelligence industry depends on collaboration across policy, technology, capital, and application scenarios.
Panelists said that the valley acts as a central hub for industry chain collaboration, providing a conducive environment for global companies to thrive.
