Lin-gang Special Area unveiled a comprehensive support system on Dec 18, aiming to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurial activity among the one-person-company (OPC) communities operating within the digital economy.

The support system, spearheaded by the "OPC Development Action Plan", offers assistance across various aspects of entrepreneurship, including interoperability, cost reduction, increased opportunity, convenience, and community building.

The plan features more than 60 specific services that are organized into four packages, namely public operations, digital empowerment, financial insurance, and promotional training.

The Zero Cube, the core of the OPC community initiative, provides 100,000 square meters of space containing office spaces, talent apartments, and commercial amenities.

It has attracted nearly 500 entrepreneurs and validated over 180 projects since its launch on Aug 21, resulting in the establishment of over 100 teams.

Complementing this, Lingang Group's "Super Individual (OPC) 288 Action" provides round-the-clock, zero-cost office and accommodation, with a focus on core technology, data processing, and cross-border e-commerce.

Financial support involves the introduction of a specialized loan program, with an initial enterprise already securing 3.8 million yuan ($542,199) in guaranteed loans.

Entrepreneurial teams have also received specialized "go-global" training, and collaborations with universities are facilitating project cooperation and market expansion.

To foster OPC growth, the Lin-gang Special Area Administrative Committee and Lingang Group established the Lin-gang Special Area OPC⁵ Development Alliance, an organization that intends to integrate government, industry, academia, research institutions, financial institutions, service providers, and application developers.

At the same time, the local authorities launched the "Digital Young Lin-gang" Global OPC Digital Innovation Competition, focusing on areas with high potential, such as cross-border data, digital culture, live streaming marketing, intelligent network connection, and software information.

The competition will provide international data office zones, computing resources, and related policy support to young entrepreneurs worldwide.
