The 2026 Shanghai Table Tennis Carnival is scheduled to kick off at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium in Xuhui district on April 12 and run through August.

This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the International Table Tennis Federation and the World Table Tennis Championships.

As Shanghai's premier table tennis event, the carnival aims to attract participants of all ages, promoting the national fitness initiative while integrating sports with culture, commerce, tourism, and exhibitions.

The competition is divided into two major categories: mixed-team events and individual events.

The mixed-team division will progress through three stages: district-level qualifiers, city-level home-and-away double round-robin matches, and the finals.

The individual division is split into two groups: the public group and the campus group.

Registration details will be announced on platforms such as the official WeChat account of the Shanghai Table Tennis Association and the Migu app. Registration begins on April 12 and remains open through August.
