June 3 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with Nir Bar Dea, CEO of US investment management firm Bridgewater Associates, in Shanghai.
Gong welcomed Bridgewater Associates' active participation in Shanghai's development as an international financial center. He expressed hope that the company will continue to leverage its strengths, further optimize its investment footprint in Shanghai, support the city's efforts to become a global asset management hub, and help more global businesses capitalize on opportunities in Shanghai and the broader Chinese market.
Bar Dea said Bridgewater has maintained a deep commitment to China for many years and has experienced strong growth in the country, particularly in Shanghai.
He said the firm's commitment to China remains steadfast and long-term. He added that Bridgewater aims to build a dynamic and thriving business in the country, facilitate economic exchanges between China and the United States, and share its firsthand insights on China's development with leading investors worldwide.
