Recap: Intl exchange activity of Shanghai leadership (June 15-21)
June 17 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with President of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing and his delegation in Shanghai.
Gong expressed hope that high-quality Belt and Road cooperation would provide new opportunities to further strengthen ties between Shanghai and Myanmar in trade, investment, people-to-people exchanges, and other fields. He said deeper cooperation would help achieve greater mutual benefit and deliver tangible gains for the people of both sides.
Min Aung Hlaing said Myanmar looks forward to enhancing all-round cooperation with China and further deepening economic, trade, and investment exchanges. He welcomed more Shanghai enterprises to invest and do business in Myanmar, saying such cooperation would better benefit the people of both countries.
