Recap: Intl exchange activity of Shanghai leadership (June 8-14)
June 8 – Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining met with Terrence R. Curtin, CEO of TE Connectivity, an industrial technology company headquartered in Ireland, in Shanghai.
Chen urged the company to seize development opportunities, leverage its strengths, increase investment and R&D efforts in Shanghai, while exploring new areas of cooperation and growth in the intelligent transformation of industry.
Curtin said that the vast potential of the Chinese market and Shanghai's favorable business environment have strengthened the company's confidence in continuing to invest and deepen its presence in the city.
He added that TE Connectivity will capitalize on opportunities in green development and digital and intelligent transformation, expand cooperation in areas such as engineering R&D, embodied AI, and industrial intelligence, and further utilize its regional headquarters to achieve mutually beneficial growth.
