How to apply
Online appointment
Open the Government Online-Offline Shanghai website, go to the "出入境专栏 Exit-entry Services" section, then select "Extension, Renewal, or Reissuance of Visas".
Select the type of visa application, then select the district (or city) where you want to submit it.
Fill in your basic information, including your name, mobile number, and passport number.
Then choose the service center where you want to submit the application and the date and time slot for the appointment. Confirm and submit the information.
You will receive a notification about your appointment.
Submission
You will generally need to go to the service center to submit your application at the scheduled appointment time.
Check the documents required for visa extension, replacement, or reissuance on the website of the Exit-Entry Administration Corps of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau.

Processing time
A decision will be made within seven working days from the date the application is accepted.
Fees
1. Zero-entry visa (for non-reciprocal countries): 160 yuan/person;
2. One-entry visa (for non-reciprocal countries): 206 yuan/person;
3. Two-entry visa (for non-reciprocal countries): 313 yuan/person;
4. Multiple-entry visa valid for no more than half a year (for non-reciprocal countries): 413 yuan/person;
5. Multiple-entry visa valid for no more than a year (for non-reciprocal countries): 619 yuan/person;
6. Fee for adding or removing an accompanying person (for non-reciprocal countries): 160 yuan/person;
7. For individuals from the reciprocal countries, fees will be charged according to the established standards.
