Shanghai's two airports reported double-digit growth year-on-year in the number of inbound and outbound passengers during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival, which ended on June 2, according to Shanghai Airport Authority.

During the holiday, the Shanghai Pudong International Airport and the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport handled more than 1.04 million passenger trips, with the number of inbound and outbound passengers surging 16.6 percent year-on-year to reach 338,000, Shanghai Airport Authority said on June 3.

Around 6,000 aircraft landed or took off at Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport between May 31 and June 2.

As part of the city's efforts to attract more inbound travelers, the airports are offering all-around services including wireless internet access, currency exchange, telephone cards and transportation cards for purchase. The three round-the-clock one-stop service stations have been put into service at the two airports to provide assistance like communication, payment, tourism and transportation to expatriates upon their arrival in Shanghai.

The Shanghai Airport Authority also offers thoughtful and convenient services for first-time flyers, elderly passengers, families with children, and travelers with pets to enhance their overall travel experience.
