Shanghai tech fair closes with record intended deals
The 11th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair wrapped up with a bang on June 13 — reporting a new high of 572 intended deals.
The event attracted over 50,000 visitors, with industry professionals making up more than 85 percent of the total.
Research and development, as well as procurement personnel, accounted for 60.8 percent of professional attendees — highlighting the fair's enduring appeal to industry decision-makers.
Accompanying events were attended by roughly 15,000 people.
This year's fair occupied 35,000 square meters and it welcomed a record 981 exhibitors — featuring innovations from nearly 20 countries and regions, as well as from close to 20 provincial-level areas across China.
In addition, more than 200 partner organizations supported the event, fostering great business development opportunities.
Forty-one advanced projects in a diverse range of technological fields received technology awards at the fair.
A standout innovation — automatic basalt fiber production equipment designed for potential lunar base applications — was recognized as the signature exhibit, highlighting the event's focus on cutting-edge technology.
