June 10 – Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with Sim Kui Hian, deputy premier of Sarawak, Malaysia.

Gong called for strengthened economic, trade, and industrial investment ties between Shanghai and Sarawak. He welcomed Malaysian companies to expand their investment in Shanghai and encouraged them to participate in the China International Import Expo.

Sim said that Sarawak will enhance green energy cooperation with Shanghai by leveraging its abundant natural resources. He also said that he hopes for deeper collaboration in areas such as innovation and research, healthcare, and aerospace.
