Priceless jewelry items on display

An exhibition titled Awakening is currently displaying 110 rare pieces of jewelry from nearly 20 countries and regions at the Shanghai History Museum.

The exhibition is being held by the fine jewelry brand V MUSE and features an awe-inspiring range of historical jewelry treasures with iconic imprints from families like the Bonapartes, Bourbons, and Romanovs, spanning over 400 years from the Renaissance period to the 20th century.

This gold leaf was part of the famous laurel crown made for French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte for his coronation on Dec 2, 1804. The image of Napoleon wearing the gold laurel crown has since become one of the most iconic depictions of Napoleon in historical records. Click here to learn more.

Open: 9 am to 5 pm (last entry at 4 pm), closed on Mondays except public holidays
