Snake-themed exhibition opens for free at Zhangyuan
A special exhibition Serpenti Infinito made its debut in Zhangyuan, a historical and cultural block in West Nanjing Road, and will run until Feb 16, welcoming the Year of the Snake.
The exhibition, which is free-to-enter, focuses on the snake, facilitating a cross-cultural dialogue between East and West, past and present, art and jewelry, as well as tradition and innovation.
The exhibition features a collection of works that includes 28 pieces created by 19 artists from China and abroad. From traditional artistic expressions to the application of artificial intelligence, the awe-inspiring exhibits the rich culture and limitless potential of the snake in art.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the snake's endless transformations across art, history, and contemporary creative expression.
A highlight of the exhibition is Infinito: AI Data Sculpture, a stunning work by Refik Anadol, a Turkish-American media artist who creates immersive and generative works with data, AI, and machine learning.
Making its global debut, the piece places a 3D sculpture at the center of a 360-degree mirrored space. Through the intricate interplay of light and form, the installation delivers a breathtaking visual experience.
