The 2024 Global 6G Development Conference will be held from Nov 13 to 14 in Shanghai's Songjiang district, under the theme "Looking ahead to the frontier of 6G technology standards".

The conference will showcase the latest achievements in 6G (sixth generation wireless technology) innovation and development in Shanghai, attracting global mobile communication companies.

The event aims to gather advantageous resources along the industrial chain and promote the research and development of cutting-edge 6G technologies, the formulation of standards, and the cultivation of future industries.

Shanghai has a solid foundation for nurturing future 6G industries. The city boasts a comprehensive mobile communication and satellite innovation industrial chain, a nationally leading integrated circuit industry system, a competitive advantage in artificial intelligence, and a wealth of talent in communication research and development.

Shanghai also features rich application scenarios in areas such as autonomous driving, embodied artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, low-altitude economy, and elderly care.

This year's conference will feature many "Shanghai elements". During the main forum and sub-forums, several AI experts and representatives from satellite internet companies in Shanghai will deliver presentations.

At the opening ceremony, the Shanghai 6G Communications Smart Valley will be unveiled. Additionally, several Shanghai-based companies, including Transcom, Shanghai Spacecom Satellite Technology Ltd, Nokia Shanghai Bell, and Shanghai Tauren Semiconductor Co Ltd, will show their latest achievements at the conference's accompanying exhibition.
