The Jinshan City Beach International Beer Festival kicked off in Shanghai's Jinshan district at the weekend, offering visitors a feast of beer, food, music and street dance performances, markets, and interactive games.

Since 2013, the festival has been held at Jinshan City Beach for eight years. Running till July 28, the festival covers an area of about 10,000 square meters, and consists of diverse sections to immerse visitors in summer entertainment activities.

The beer section is the highlighted part of the festival, where both notable domestic and international beer brands are showcasing various kinds of products including craft beer and low-alcohol beer.

"I like to drink beer when I have spare time. I tried a lot of beers I hadn't tasted before and it was really full of surprises. It couldn't have been more enjoyable than watching the show, feeling the sea breeze and sipping the beer at the same time," said Yang Jun, a beer lover at the festival.

In addition to beers, the nine-day festival also offers colorful activities, with differed themes each day on music, e-sports, football, street dance, comic and anime, aiming to boost the district's cultural tourism development.
