• Expats whose reason for residence has been terminated and who need to stay in China longer for humanitarian reasons;
• Foreign infants born in China who need to stay in the country;
• Other circumstances necessitating a stay permit for foreigners.

Complete registration on International Services Shanghai.

Log into the website of Government Online-Offline Shanghai.

Select the most convenient service center location where you would like to schedule a stay permit issuance.

Fill in your personal information.

Select the service center, date, and time slot for your reservation.  

You could also apply for a stay permit at WeChat mini-program "随申办 (Suishenban)".

Search WeChat mini-program "随申办 (Suishenban)", select the "Exit-Entry Affairs" and then click the "Visa/stay permit/residence permit".
