The Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine was established in 1958. The hospital is renowned for its pediatrics and it is one of the few hospitals in China that is able to perform cardiac surgery on newborns, including the transposition of great vessels.
